"A-LEE-SAM"

#OT-1S only $38.99!

For those interested in making their own ornamental Rose engine lathe from the various plans on the internet, (or the MDF Rose Engine project published in the Spring 2007 issue of the American Woodturner. The article complements the MDF Rose Engine Construction Instructions document posted on the AAW website). See also the Ornamental turners website at: http://www.turners.org/oti.htm

This pre-made spindle will help you along! It is made from polished 1 inch OD steel 14 inches long. One end is threaded 1 X 8 threads per inch. With about 1 inch of thread beyond shoulder. The other end has a 2 inch long flat milled on the side to aid in holding a set screw. This version has a milled-while-on-spindle, (for accuracy), removable shoulder to tighten your chuck or faceplate up against. This shoulder incorporates "flats" to enable easier chuck removal!

No need to find a local machinist to  custom make one for you,  (one customer told us he was quoted over $100 to make the same spindle)!
